I use HM reading so that I know I have reading material when we’re too busy or sick to head to the library. Also, there are good comprehension questions. Last year we used the spelling from HM and this year we’re trying something different.
All About Spelling : Level 1 & 2.
We’re trying out AAS. Level 1 for my girl and Level 2 for the boys. Even if they move through it quickly, I want them to have the review. They’ve done well with spelling tests, but are struggling to keep those words when writing journals.
